Dear members, I receive this request in mail and here I am sharing it with you. It might be useful to you or someone you know.
Here is the message: -------------------------------------- Hello, My name is Mildred Suarez-Milligan from Parent to Parent of NYS. Our non profit statewide organization is made up of parents of children with special needs and special health care needs. I work in the Metro area office serving all 5 boroughs. In addition to information and referral, we have a parent matching program. Our volunteer support parents are trained by us and they are matched with parents who need support from someone in their situation. We just got a call from an Urdu speaking parent of a child with PDD (high functioning Autism) who wants to speak to someone in her own language and who has a child with Autism. Do you have any members who has a child with a disability who would like to volunteer to speak to other Urdu speaking parents? My telephone is 800-405-8818. Thank you, Mildred Suarez-Milligan Regional Parent Coordinator at www.parenttoparentnys.org |
