Hello Urdu Meetup members,

Shamsa, our beloved Organizer and host of all Urdu Meetups, have decided to step down as Organizer to pursuit her career and life in a different region. Though sad for her depart but we are happy for her and wish her best of luck in her life for whatever she decides to do and wherever she decides to move. Our prayers and best wishes are always with you, Shamsa.

With Shamsa's approval I, Nawed Khan, have taken the responsibility to run our beloved Urdu Meetup. Almost none of you really know me as I have never attended any of this meetup's meetings.

I was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan. Currently residing in New York, USA for past 15 years. Software engineer and IT professional by profession, a musician by passion and affluent in reading, writing and speaking Urdu. I have many ideas and suggestions to give a new life to this meetup.

Shamsa have done a great job so far and I wish to follow her foot steps to make sure we all learn, share and enjoy Urdu. Please reply to this email with ideas, suggestions, and your feedback about how we can keep this meetup alive and perhaps make it even better. I have started a poll and will be creating many new ones to gather your opinions in what is the best way to run this meetup efficiently.
