I would like to join the next meetup as its been a long time that i havent seen my desi folks. Long long time ago.....Shamsa if you remember, I brought some funny poetry and the feedback was pretty positive at that time ( I am sure the sense of humor of all attendees hasnt changed since then.....). If you all agree then the theme could be "funny poetry", jokes etc to have a light and entertaining mood.

Anyhow, whatever you guys decide, I am willing to meet you all at some point of time soon. I am sitting late in the office and am hoping that the time of meetup is on weekend and possibly evening. But that is only my hope and may not necessarily agree to others.

Happy New Year Everyone!

I hope you guys had a wonderful holiday break with lots of rest, fun surprises and ready to perhaps start the New Year with a bang! I just paid the meet up fees for the next 6 months, which means we should take advantage of the site and meet at least once a month.

I'd like to this time have a meet up somewhere in Jersey - preferably in Jersey City or Hoboken. Somewhere very close to public transportation. I'd like everyone who attends to be able to get there easily. I have been to the Hyatt in Jersey City for drinks. I took the path train there and had no problems getting there.

For those who are familiar with it, please comment on meeting at the Hyatt. Please note, the reply will go to the entire mailing list.

Also, if anyone has any suggestions for the theme for the next meet up, please feel free to reply to email. (keeping in mind, nothing religious or political is welcomed LOL).

Those who are interested in bringing in intellectual papers on the situation in Pakistan are welcome to stay and discuss after the Urdu meet up has concluded. Just keep in mind, we might want to go back to this venue at another time and don't want to be banned LOL, LOL...

I look forward to meeting some new members and perhaps catching up with some veterans. Please email a theme and venue that is easily accessible.
