Introduction

I have enjoyed Mehndi Hassan,Ghulam Ali and Aabida Parveen's singing when I heard Ghalib I truely regretted not knowing Urdu because thwe translations dont do justice, so so would love to meet like minded folks and learn more.

What activities would you be interested in with this group?

Urdu Sher,Shayyari,Songs,Poetry,Ghazals............................etc that we can share.

How will you contribute to this group?

I have a good collection of Ghazals and songs, Qawwali's that i can recite and share what the poet meant and hear people's feed back or correction's...lol

What level of Urdu do you speak?

From a scale of 1 to 10 if 10 is expert and 1 is beginer i am at -2...ha ha ha but would like to be 11 one day.

Are you willing at attend all Urdu meet ups in order to learn and contribute to the group?

No I am in NJ and due to parenting and work of 55 to 60 hrs a week its hard to commit but wil try and attend some.
