Introduction

Hi, I'm conversational in Urdu and can read a bit. Currently I am practicing my writing skills and look forward to being able to read poetry and literature. It would be great to learn and practice with new people.

What activities would you be interested in with this group?

Practicing speaking and writing. Also learning within in a cultural context, i.e. I would love to learn more about the recitation of 'mushariya' and the etiquette surrounding it. Also I love calligraphy (Urdu, Arabic).

How will you contribute to this group?

I have Urdu books (grammar, writing, dictionaries, etc.) that I could bring to meeting if people are interested.

What level of Urdu do you speak?

I can hold a conversation, however I admit I am have been getting rusty over the years. I need help with proper conjugation of verbs. I would love to get my urdu to the level of news reporters books, albeit slowly, inshallah!

Are you willing at attend all Urdu meet ups in order to learn and contribute to the group?
